What this service answers

A pre-shipment inspection is the last cheap moment to catch a problem. Once the balance is paid and the container sails, your options shrink to a claim, a discount or a rewrite of your own delivery promise.

We inspect a statistically valid sample from the finished batch, against the spec you provide, and photograph every defect we find. You get a pass, fail or conditional verdict you can act on the same day.

What we check on site

The checklist is agreed before the visit. If your customer or your own QC team requires additional points, send them with the inquiry and they become part of the scope.

  1. 01Sampling plan agreed in advance, normally AQL general inspection level II
  2. 02Carton count and quantity against the PO and packing list
  3. 03Dimensions, weight and material verified against your spec sheet
  4. 04Function tests for the features that matter to the end user
  5. 05Appearance, colour, finish and workmanship against your sample or photos
  6. 06Labels, manuals, barcodes, retail packaging and carton marks
  7. 07Defect classification: critical, major and minor, with photos of each
  8. 08Packing method and a spot carton drop test

When to book this

Before the balance payment

Most orders release the balance against a shipping document. Inspect the finished goods first, so the payment is released against evidence.

After a batch went wrong

If a previous shipment arrived with defects, inspect the next one before it leaves — and use the report to show the factory exactly what failed.

First production at a new factory

A new supplier's first run is where the process assumptions show up. An inspection catches them while correction is still cheap.

When packaging is the product

Retail packaging, labels and carton marks decide whether a container is accepted by your customer or your marketplace.

Pricing for a product inspection

Starting at $249 per single visit in the main manufacturing regions. The final fee depends on the factory location, the number of man-days and how much notice you can give — and it is fixed in the quote before any work starts.

No payment is taken on this site. You send a request, we quote, and payment opens only after you accept.

Questions about this service

What is AQL and how many pieces do you check?

AQL (acceptable quality limit) is the sampling standard used across the industry. At general inspection level II, a lot of 3,201–10,000 units is checked with a sample of 200 pieces. We agree the plan with you before the visit and state the sample size in the report.

Can you inspect at a warehouse or freight forwarder instead of the factory?

Yes, if the site allows access and the goods are still packed for inspection. Inspecting at the factory is usually better, because problems can be fixed before the goods are moved.

Do you run laboratory tests for CE, FCC or food-contact compliance?

No. We do functional and physical checks on site; we do not operate an accredited laboratory. If your product needs formal testing, we tell you what to ask a laboratory for, and the report records what was and was not verified.

What happens if the goods fail?

You receive the evidence, not an argument: photos of each defect, the count, and the verdict per check. You then decide whether to have the factory rework, re-inspect, or hold the shipment.

Tell us what needs checking.

Send the factory address, the product and your timeline. You will get a written quote — no obligation, no payment until you accept it.
